Dr. Colby Fernelius
Pathologist
Dr. Fernelius is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology as well as Dermatopathology. He was born and raised in Ogden, UT and earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Utah. He completed medical school at the Uniformed Services University in Bethesda, MD. Following medical school, Dr. Fernelius served fifteen years as a pathologist in the US Army including assignments as a pathology resident at Madigan Army Medical Center, Vice Chief of Pathology at Martin Army Community Hospital in Columbus, GA; Staff Pathologist at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, HI; Chief of Tri-Service Military Laboratory Health Clinics Europe in Landstuhl, Germany; and as Chief of Pathology at Madigan Army Medical Center, Tacoma, WA. Dr. Fernelius left active duty Army service as a LT Colonel and continues his service in the Army Reserves. He completed a Dermatopathology Fellowship at the University of Colorado and a Fellowship in Medical Education at the John A. Burns School of Medicine in Honolulu, HI. Dr. Fernelius has multiple publications and abstracts to his credit on a variety of topics and is a member of national pathology organizations.
